Equestrian Team Fast Facts: |
- Under the guidance of parents Suzanne Adlesich and Cheryl Rawson, four riders and their horses competed for Valley Catholic. They were so successful that two riders earned honors in the 2003 state competition in May.
- The competitions are coordinated by the Oregon High School Equestrian Teams (OHSET) organization. OHSET has as its main goal the recognition in the high schools of the equestrian athlete and to give them an opportunity to achieve that recognition in a fair, positive and educational format.
- The state is divided into districts and competitions are held in each district. A final State Championship Meet is held in May by the host district for the current year.
- The goals are to encourage team play, peer acceptance and good horsemanship.
